All trisomies can be detected by amniocentesis. These include Down syndrome (trisomy 21), Edward syndrome (trisomy 18) and Patau syndrome (trisomy 13). Other trisomies, but all self-destruct before you probably know that you are pregnant. Trisomy 21 survive, 18 and 13 children can. Almost all of the 21 babies die during pregnancy, childhood, adolescence and young adulthood, and many live an almost normal life. The vast majority of children 18 to 13 self-abortion in early pregnancy know (before that she is pregnant), but some may survive the later stages, some survive to birth, and very little People can even for several hours live several years after birth. Even one or two known cases of people with trisomy 18 and 13, living with their teens or beyond.

These tests are used to test for phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder that is not connected to any of the trisomies to. Thus, a test will not detect phenylketonuria trisomy 13th Ultrasound does not look specifically for trisomy 13, but much of the testimony of ad pictures which are regarded as a sign of Down syndrome. Trisomy 13 can be presumed if the analysis of the heart and brain abnormalities and deformities of the feet, hands showing, fingers, toes and face. Trisomy 13 is Down's Syndrome, third (after 21 and 18), but still very rare so it is very unlikely that the trisomy 13 have a baby. However, if you have concerns, you can always ask for an amniocentesis to check it.

Hope this helps!

You can usually not. Trisomy 13 is almost always fatal before birth, so it is not much evidence. I only say "almost" because it allows me the possibility of a miracle. Otherwise, a child will die with this problem soon, and there is absolutely nothing that can be done to treat or cure.

All problems are becoming more lethal trisomy during early development, with the exception of trisomy 21 and (rarely) 18.

Happen amniocentesis (usually among 15-24 weeks) or CVS done (usually at 10-14 weeks) are the only ways to confirm .. Probs surface should have been in my experience, my duties in the review of my 12 weeks ultrasound suspicion. (Not sure if this is common) ultraound In my 21 weeks, the technicians have some questions. T13 confirmed by amniocentesis.

I had my tests done after 13 weeks, both the ultrasound and blood tests.
The ultrasound shows the thickness of the nuchal fold, but not quite the diagnosis of trisomy 13, if it can be something suspicious about the strength, a more comprehensive review policy.
